Vitiligo is an acquired achromic condition occurring in 1% to 2% of general population, and becomes particularly important when exposed and visible areas are involved, provoking a sometimes devasting aesthetic impact. Several forms of therapy for
vitiligo include topical and intralesional corticosteroids, topical 5-FU, photochemotherapy and autologous minigraft. But they have some complications and effects are not permanent.
During the period June, 1991 to December 1993, two patients with vitiligo and one patient with postburn depigmentation were treated with thin split thickness skin graft after removal of lesion using dermabrasion. This technique provided a nearly
natural
pigmentation ot the lesion and the donor site healed with minimal scar without ant complications. During the follow up period, pigmentatin persisted and recurrance was not found. Here, case reports are presented.
